Take your bodywork one step further; Add to the traditional prone/supine massage and learn awesome
side position techniques! Enrich your repertoire of neck maneuvers!
Core Alignment Technique (CAT) is a unique mixture of body awareness technique inspired by a Feldenkrais
exercise, Shiatsu and Energy Work. This technique uses slow, repetitive, range-of-motion type movement and stretches. The
emphasis is on releasing blockages in the pelvis/hips and shoulders, and aligning the spine. It will improve movement
restrictions and increase flexibility. This passive movement work is very relaxing and enables the client to safely re-program
old habits and patterns on a physical and energetic level. Most of the work is done in side position and includes
off the table neck techniques.
This work is especially beneficial for clients with chronic back, shoulder and neck
pain and stiffness, frozen shoulder, spinal stenosis, and for clients who do not see significant results from regular massage. Please be aware that this technique is NOT Feldenkrais.
Workshop will cover: Meditation and body awareness exercises. Scanning and assessing body
posture and spine misalignment. Techniques and stretches to improve client’s range of motion and flexibility in
side position and supine. Hands on time to practice, in pairs and trios.
Prerequisites: Student

STUDENTS'
FEEDBACK Core Alignment course:
" Great two day class! The class moved along at a just right pace, enough time to absorb and practice. Eeris
is an excellent instructor - caring and patient. She brought good energy and wealth of knowledge to the class. I would recommend
this class to all MT's!"
"This class exceeded my expectations, I learned new techniques that bring more movement into my
massage. Eeris was sensitive to where the group needed to change modalities like talk, stretch, meditate, take a break etc."
"I wanted a better
approach to neck work specifically, and better resolution for lots of my clients' problems- Got them! Also, Eeris has
a great body usage and mechanics and she emphasizes that in her teaching."
"I increased my knowledge of neck work,
learned stretches I will definitely use. Learned a whole new way of working with problem areas. This class was more
than I expected."
"Eeris is a gentle warm person and her smile matches her teaching style."
"This class turned me on to a whole new
way of working with the body as well as looking at the body. It was a very positive experience for me. I would definitely
take more classes with Eeris"
" I have taken many seminars
and many times have had a hard time receiving because of certain tensions like teacher's personality and participants.
Because Eeris was relaxed, flexible, knowledgeable and organized I was able to fully relax and receive. The information
was just enough and the hands-on talk- through guidance was very helpful."
"I
was given tools for my own enrichment as well as for my clients' healing and growth."
