Dear clients and friends, Happy 2009!
I hope you had wonderful
and nurturing holidays!
I
found it fascinating that this year Hanukkah started on the 21st of December, the winter solstice. Solstice is the annual
dark night of the seasons and also the turning point of returning light. According
to the Kabala (Jewish mysticism) during this time of year there is a cosmic opening for miracles. By lighting candles (Hanukkah
or Christmas candles) we can enter the realm of miracles and draw it into our lives. This year I am setting the intention
of peace and tolerance within ourselves and others and hold the consciousness that we CAN achieve miracles not only for our
private lives but for the whole wide world.
On a personal note:
Still and I finished another adventure of creating a film for the intelligent use of water film competition.
It was great fun, though stressful at times. Once again, we were invited to travel to CA as finalists. Unfortunately, we did
not make the grand prize. If you would like a copy of our film "Gold for Gold" please ask me.
My girls are doing great, Mimi and Susu are in 7th
grade in Horizons and Ana took a semester off and will start going to CU this January.
This November I visited
my family in Israel, for my niece's Bat Mitzvah. I am embarrassed to say that this visit revolved around Nes Cafe, food and
a lot of yapping. One restaurant that left a great impression on me was family
owned in a remote Arab village on Mount Carmel. They welcome you warmly and ask that you will only eat small amounts, which
is a very hard task to accomplish since the food is irresistible. There is no menu but you are constantly served with a wide
variety of foods and pungent flavors. As soon as we decided that we can't eat any more, another dish was served! The food
and the Mediterranean views were to die for!
Another place I love where you can find the best Hummus in the world is actually right
in my hometown in an old neighborhood funky gas station restaurant. (Call me for directions…;)
I was recently 'diagnosed' (by my family
members) with occasional "bad" breath... Though it's not a life threatening condition for me, it might be deadly for you…
so I wanted to extend my sincere apology if I offended you in the past, and wanted
to ask you that in the future to please use the code word: "got mint?" and I will get your hint…I have mint gum and Altoides available all the time…J
Save the date: My father and his life partner Ruthie who are both holocaust survivors
