"Maintaining order rather than correcting disorders is the ultimate principle of wisdom.
To cure disease after it has appeared is like digging a well when one already feels thirsty"

Zen Shiatsu

Zen shiatsu is Japanese bodywork based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. One of the causes of disease is a disharmony in the flow of the body's life force. This life force is referred to as Chi or Ki, in Japanese. Initial assessment will determine which meridians, or 'channels of energy', are depleted or excessive. By applying finger and palm pressure along those meridians the practitioner can rebalance the energy.
This work is excellent for any type of body discomfort and assists with emotional and spiritual balance. It can also relieve symptoms that are not muscle or joint related, such as Chronic Fatigue or poor digestion and depression. Zen Shiatsu is usually performed with the client fully clothed. Its best to wear comfortable clothing and fresh socks.
